Gagan Ji Ka Tilla  temple is the one of the most oldest Lord Shiva Temple in Punjab. This temple is located at Village Sahora, District Hoshiarpur. It is 14-15 km from the Main City Dasuya and around 8-9km from Hazipur. Gagan Ka Tilla temple is build by Pandavas before going to Agaytvasa. This temple has great historical importance related to Pandavas.

History of Gagan Ji Ka Tilla

According to the history of the temple, Pandavas before going to Agyatvas , Lord Krishna told Pandavas to find a place to Worship the Load Shiva where no body can disturb or see you. Pandava Follow the Lord Krishna Guideline and find a place on the top of the Hill. Here Pandva worshiped Lord Shiva and Lord Shiva Come into the light and give him a Shiva Ling and said that if anyone worship this Shiva-ling,  Lord Shiva full fill his/her all wishes. After that Pandav go to Virat Nagar which is famous these day by name Dusuya.

The history of this temple is connected to Kaljuga. It is said that at the time of Kaljug, when the King of Himachal was going down the along the side of the hill, he saw something on the hill. When Raja went to the top of the hill, he saw the Shivling of Lard Shiva. The king has no child, and the king prayed to Loard Shiva to give him a child, and he will perform the Prayer and Yagya at each Puran Massi . After some times, a little baby girls born and King called the little angel girls “Gagan”. Since then this place has been known as Gagan’s Tilla.
